About us

FRS Finland Oy was established in 2013 and has been the main operator of island transport in the capital region for many years.
We operate water buses to Suomenlinna, Lonna, Kaunissaari, Espoo islands, and the Eastern and Western island routes, among others. We also organize charter cruises in the Helsinki and Espoo archipelagos. We have 18 different vessels at our disposal - from small taxi boats to large water buses! From 2020, the former Suomen Saaristokuljetus Oy is a part of the FRS Group.
 

Sustainability

FRS Finland Oy is committed to promoting sustainable tourism. Our company has been awarded the Eco-Compass, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates and the Sustainable Travel Finland label.


We are committed to protecting the marine environment and reducing our carbon footprint. We have continuously improved our waste recycling and reduced the amount of waste we produce. We have upgraded our ships' engines to be more emission-efficient and are exploring the possibilities of electrifying our ships. 

FRS Finland will introduce the first fully electric vessel in its class in the Autumn of 2027.

Safety

We invest in the safety of our customers and our crew on a daily basis. We train our staff regularly on a seasonal basis and have a dedicated team that constantly monitors weather forecasts and makes changes to routes and schedules as necessary to ensure safety. In addition, our maintenance team is responsible for the upkeep of the vessels and ensures that safety is maintained at the highest possible level in all conditions.
