Plan your visit to Suomenlinna and Lonna with FRS Finland's reliable waterbus service. The water buses run frequently on a scheduled basis from the Market Square (Kauppatori, Salutorget) via Lonna to Suomenlinna. The waterbus is the best way to get to Suomenlinna, as it takes you closest to most main attractions, with arrival piers at Artillery Bay and King's gate.
Suomenlinna, built in 1748, is a UNESCO world heritage listed sea fortress offering a wide range of sensory experiences. Spend a delightful day exploring Suomenlinna and enjoy a meal with friends while admiring the stunning scenery of the Helsinki archipelago.

Transporting a bicycle on the vessel is possible if there is room onboard. The one-time fee for a bicycle is 5 € and a season ticket is 30 €, tickets can be purchased on site.
Season passes can be purchased directly onboard in connection with your first journey
Pets are welcome on board.
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance from our online store. Tickets can also be bought on-site with a card. Please use a payment card for your purchases (preferably contactless payment; Visa, MasterCard, and Visa Electron are accepted). Cash payments are possible in exceptional cases, but please have the exact amount ready in that case.
*Discounted tickets are available for students, persons over 70 years of age, Finnish national pensioners, unemployed Finnish citizens, military and civil service conscripts and passengers with reduced mobility (PRM). Eligible certificate will be required upon boarding.

If you want group tickets paid with invoice, you can conveniently make group bookings directly in our online shop under Group booking.
Note! We will add an 11€ billing surcharge and an 11€ group booking fee to your invoice. Private hand luggage and items that fit through the door are free of charge. Large items that take up a lot of space must be notified in advance to Customer Service.

If necessary, we can transport larger groups by separate transports on request. We offer various sizes of vessels such as the 120-seat water bus or the very popular taxi boats, which can accommodate around 20 clients. Ask for more information at [email protected] or call 0102023780 weekdays 9-15.

Purchase ticket
When booking a round-trip ticket, you can only select the departure time for the outbound journey. The return time cannot be reserved in advance – you can board the return trip by showing your ticket. Please note that passengers for the return trip are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend arriving at the dock early to secure your spot on your preferred departure.
