FRS Finland three waterbusses operates scheduled traffic from Kauppatori via Lonna to Suomenlinna from May to September. The main vessel is m/s Wellamo (tel. 050 300 9781). Other two vessels are m/s Isosaari II (tel. 050 471 3092) and m/s Vire (tel. 045 615 1634). Note! Crew will answer only when the vessel is in motion and when it is safe to answer. There is a lot to see and experience in Suomenlinna. Spend a nice day in Suomenlinna and go to eat with friends and enjoy the beautiful Helsinki archipelago. There is a cafe on board where you can buy snacks for the trip. The cafes also have A-licenses. Dogs are also welcome on board! Suomenlinna is a historic sea fortress and a Unesco world heritage site. The construction of the fortress began in 1748. The purpose of Suomenlinna was to protect the Eastern border and the coast in the wars against Russia. As a result of the Finnish Civil War, the fortress was turned into a prisoner of war camp in 1918. In 1918, the fortress was taken over by the Defense Forces and renamed Suomenlinna.

The fortress is one of the most popular destinations in Finland, with about a million visitors a year. Suomenlinna also has about 800 inhabitants. The island has museums, cafés, restaurants and artisan studios. Suomenlinna hosts various events throughout the year. Come and spend a wonderful day in sympathetic Lonna just a 10-minute waterbus ride from the Market Square! Lonna is small island between Kauppatori and Suomenlinna. Lonna is the sister island of Suomenlinna, where ships were once immune to sea mines. In 2014, the island was opened to the public. Lonna has a very popular restaurant with a terrace and a café. In connection with the restaurant, there is a demagnetization museum open to everyone. Inside the old stone walls are the renovated Mine Warehouses. Tickets can be conveniently buy in advance from the online store. You can also buy tickets from the vessel. Please, pay for the trips with a debit card, (preferably by local payment. Visa, MasterCard and Visa Electron are valid). Cash payment is possible in case of emergency, but please reserve a flat rate in this case. From the online store, an individual or a group can buy a ticket for a certain departure from the Market Square, but do not book a specific return trip.

We add a invoicing fee 11€ and group booking fee 11€ to the invoice. Hand luggage and items that can fit in the door enter free of charge.
