SUOMENLINNA AND LONNA
FRS Finland is participating in the Viaporin Kekri organized in Suomenlinna on Sat 4 November 2023. Viaporin Kekrin presents Suomenlinna’s year-round experience and services. The sea fortress and the beloved district of Helsinki are full of programs in Viapor’s Kekri in outdoor and indoor areas, also in places that are not constantly open to the public. There will be culture, art, music, performances, guided tours, food and drink.
A vessel called m/s Isosaari II operates in Viapori Kekri. There is a cafe on the ship where you can buy snacks and drinks during the trip.
NOTE! The new departure pier at the Market Square is Keisarinluotonlaituri (Korkeasaari Zoo pier).
FRS Finland cooperates with Haaga-Helia students. The students already organize a program for the whole family during the trip to Suomenlinna. Warmly welcome!

We recommend buy tickets in advance from the online store. You can also buy tickets from the vessel. Please, pay for the trips with a debit card, (preferably by local payment. Visa, MasterCard and Visa Electron are valid). Cash payment is possible in case of emergency, but please reserve a flat rate in this case.

SUOMENLINNA
Suomenlinna is a historic sea fortress and a Unesco world heritage site. The construction of the fortress began in 1748. The purpose of Suomenlinna was to protect the Eastern border and the coast in the wars against Russia. As a result of the Finnish Civil War, the fortress was turned into a prisoner of war camp in 1918. In 1918, the fortress was taken over by the Defense Forces and renamed Suomenlinna.
The fortress is one of the most popular destinations in Finland, with about a million visitors a year. Suomenlinna also has about 800 inhabitants. The island has museums, cafés, restaurants and artisan studios. Suomenlinna hosts various events throughout the year. We currently only accept group bookings by email info@frs-finland.fi. Please send your contact details, number of people and the time you want to travel and we will reserve seats for you. Note! We add a invoicing fee 11€ and group booking fee 11€ to the invoice. Hand luggage and items that can fit in the door enter free of charge. Large luggage that take up a lot of space must be notified in advance to customer service. Thank you! If necessary, we transport larger groups with separate transports on request. We offer vessels of various sizes such as a 120-seater water bus or a very popular taxi boat that can accommodate about 20 customers. Ask more from info@frs-finland.fi or call 0102023780 on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm.
